An editorial Shopify storefront for a sustainable modest fashion label

A Toronto-based modest fashion label built on small-batch, biodegradable collections. We built an editorial Shopify storefront that sells fit and fabric as carefully as it sells the clothes.

…Digova helped take my website to the next level. I was using the standard Shopify theme that lacked character and wasn’t doing me any favours as a new business owner. I needed support in getting things clean and professional…

The challenge

Mondo The Label designs elevated modest wear in biodegradable, natural fabrics — linen, crochet knit, lace — and deliberately does not restock. Each collection is produced once, in small batches, to limit thoughtless production.

That model puts unusual pressure on the storefront. Every collection has a finite window to sell through, so the site has to do the work of a lookbook and a shop at the same time. And because modest wear is bought on drape, coverage and fabric weight, a single generic size chart is not enough to give shoppers the confidence to buy an abaya they cannot try on.

The brand also sells well beyond Canada, so pricing and shipping expectations had to be legible to an international audience from the first screen.

Our approach

Six decisions that shaped the storefront.

01

Editorial-first storefront

Full-bleed campaign photography leads every page, so the collection reads as a lookbook while staying one tap from the product. The brand palette — warm browns, sage, lace pink — carries through the interface rather than fighting it.

02

Collection-led merchandising

Navigation is organised around seasonal drops rather than a flat catalogue, matching the no-restock model and giving each collection its own moment on the site.

03

Per-garment size guides

Every piece with a non-obvious fit gets its own dedicated measurement page rather than a shared chart — cutting the guesswork that drives returns in modest wear.

04

Multi-currency and shipping clarity

A currency switcher and a persistent free-shipping threshold bar put landed cost in front of international shoppers immediately, instead of at checkout.

05

Story as a conversion asset

The founder story and the sustainability commitment get a dedicated page and run through the product copy, because for this audience the fabric sourcing is a reason to buy, not a footnote.

06

List building ahead of drops

A welcome-offer email capture builds the audience between collections, so each launch opens to an existing list rather than cold traffic.
