A headless WordPress site for a Peel and Halton home care provider
Alpha Healthcare Serves provides home care to seniors and adults across Mississauga, Brampton and Oakville. We built a headless WordPress site that has to win two audiences at once — families searching for care, and the caregivers who deliver it.

The challenge
Home care is bought under stress. A family is usually researching after a fall, a diagnosis or a hospital discharge, comparing providers while worried and short of time. The site had to answer the practical questions — what care is available, where, and what it takes to start — before asking for anything.
It also had to rank in three separate local markets. Mississauga, Brampton and Oakville sit across two regions, Peel and Halton, and a single page about home care in Ontario competes for none of them.
Then there is the second audience. Home care is constrained by staffing as much as by demand, so the same site had to recruit PSWs and caregivers without burying the families who came looking for care.
Our approach
Six decisions that shaped the build.
Headless WordPress, React front end
Content is authored in WordPress and consumed by a React front end over the REST API. The team edits in an admin they already know, while the public site stays fast and fully under our control.
Server-rendered, not client-only
Pages ship real HTML rather than an empty shell, so search engines and AI answer engines can read the content on the first request instead of waiting on JavaScript that many crawlers never run.
Neighbourhood-level local SEO
Each city gets its own section naming the neighbourhoods families actually search — Port Credit, Erin Mills and Malton; Bramalea and Springdale; Bronte and Glen Abbey — because that is the language of a local search.
The free assessment as the only ask
Every path leads to one low-commitment step: a free in-home visit. No pricing wall and no lengthy form, which suits a decision nobody wants to make from a web page alone.
Questions answered on the page
An FAQ handles what families ask before they call — screening, coverage, and whether private care can sit alongside Ontario Health atHome funded hours. It settles objections and gives search engines clean question-and-answer content.
A recruitment funnel that does not crowd the care story
Caregiver hiring gets its own section and its own application form, far enough down the page that families are never diverted, prominent enough that candidates find it.
The site
Pages from the AHS Home Care build — one system covering the care story, the three service areas, the questions families ask and the caregiver funnel.
